The Lion King 3D Pride Party Kit

I don’t know about you guys, but I am sure excited about The Lion King 3D returning to theatres…in 3D!!!! There is just something truly amazing about seeing Disney cartoons on the big screen. I love watching them at home, but I love the theatre experience even more!

I’ve seen posters and previews for this movie floating around for months, so to get everyone in the mood, we had a Family Pride Party!

I only have one “cub”, so I invited my neighbor and her 3 kids to join in on the fun with me. Our party consisted of some tasty treats, coloring activities, drawing lessons, and craft making.

Zoe (3) and Kaylie (8) had the most fun with coloring, while Phoenix and Heather tried their hand at drawing Timon and Pumbaa.

While they were doing crafts, drawing, and coloring, this “Mommy Lion” prepared some delicious Bug Sludge smoothies for them to enjoy.

Kaylie and Heather had some fun coloring empty toilet paper rolls to make Zazu’s Kazoos.

By the end of our Pride Party, both Mommy Lions were proud of our cubs, and displayed their pictures on the freezer for all to see!

Take your cubs to theatres this September and introduce them to The Lion King 3D, a movie I am sure you loved when you were their age.

If you want to throw your own Pride Party, you can download food recipes, coloring sheets, activity sheets, craft directions, and more here.

Check out some of my favorites, like Simba’s Safari Shakers and the lion mask!

Unfortunately cubs cooperate for only so long, so try spacing these activities out, or save them for a Lion King themed birthday party!

The Lion King 3D will also be available to own on Blu-ray 3D and Blu-ray Hi-Def Combo Pack on October 4th, 2011.

*I was provided with a $25 Visa Gift Card with which to purchase supplies for treats and crafts. All thoughts expressed in this post are my own.*
