Go Go Kabongo Review
GoGo Kabongo is a FREE online learning world for children ages 4-7
I love to discover fun online learning games that are appropriate for young children. The award winning, GoGo Kabongo is a wonderful resource that helps support children who are learning to read by promoting cognitive skills such as attention and focus, memory skills, processing, planning, visualization and comprehension.
Developed for ages 4-7 by learning experts and cognitive psychologists, my children were engaged from the start with the website’s vivid colors, adorable characters and a virtual world that is ready to explore. GoGo Kabongo is challenging without being overly frustrating because it adapts to the child and only advances on pace with their abilities.
Here are some of the fun activities that my children are enjoying:
- Solve mini-quests
- Explore fantastical habitats
- Create their own character (they LOVE this part)
- Decorate their own Tree House (another favorite)
- Make a comic book
- Build and ride a custom skate park
My children are homeschooled and are currently in pre-school and 1st grade. I use time playing GoGo Kabongo as a reward for completing a specific task in school or reading a book. I love that they are learning thinking skills, pre-reading and reading skills and so much more but they actually consider this a special reward instead of a boring school assignment. I appreciate observing my youngest son (age 3 ½) develop confidence in his abilities as he learns his letters and letter sounds which I attribute to both our time spent in class and GoGo Kabongo. I love the Parent Center which has lots of resources for parents and my favorite part is the “Personalized Progress Reports” section which allows me to check every week and see how my children are learning by using this program.
Now that we have learned about all of the amazing features of GoGo Kabongo….what is the best part? It is FREE for everyone and you can sign up by visiting the website! In GoGo Kabongo each interesting habitat has three games and six levels within each game to keep learning fun and rewarding. As I mentioned, your child can play the first two habitats for free (no subscriptions are required) and the third habitat is only $4.95 which is very affordable and my children really like all of the areas. This is a super deal because normally only “Laughter Lake” is free but for a limited time you can also play “Galaxy Gardens” for free too.
Go ahead…sign up for your free subscription to GoGo Kabongo and don’t forget to add on “Twister Top” for only $4.95.
