Pur Minerals Review

I have never gotten a chance to try out make-up and pass on my opinion about it, so this was a fun review for me to do. I was able to try 2 products from the Pur Minerals line. I used Colour Correcting Primer in Peach and the 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Makeup Foundation with SPF 15.

I am in my very early 40’s and am of Navajo descent, so I have sort of a year round tan. I am tired a lot and I usually wake up with prominent circles under my eyes. I am also just starting to get some freckly type spots on my face, due to sun exposure. I started my make-up routine with the Colour correcting primer and loved how silky smooth it was. The Peach Primer is supposed to “neutralize the look of under eye circles, age spots, dark spots, freckles.” I did feel like the Primer neutralized my under eye circles but I did not see any difference with my darker spots. Over all the Primer just gave my face a silky matte coverage that I loved. It made my face look brighter and slightly younger. This was my favorite of the 2 products.

The 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral foundation goes over the Primer. I read the directions to the Foundation and I have to admit I did not have the brush the directions say to use for best coverage. The Foundation comes with a soft sponge applicator and that is what I used. No matter how much of the foundation I applied I just did not feel like I got an adequate enough coverage to be satisfied with. All day, I felt like my makeup was half done, for lack of better words to explain it. The next day, I did the same routine. This time I put an even layer of the Foundation over the Primer and used both more as a base for my normal foundation. This seemed to work much better for me.

Here is my take on both products. The Correcting Primer is a must have. I love the light weight formula. It is not meant to give full coverage but it enhances what you wake up with and I am all for that. The 4-in-1 foundation was just not enough for me. Maybe if I were 20 years younger and did not need a miracle foundation, this would have been a better fit. I think the 4-in-1 foundation is lightweight and sheer. I think it is perfect for the younger generation who do not need to cover years of experience up on their faces. The positive side of my experience with the 4-in-1 foundation is that it does leave a wonderfully soft finish. At the end of the day, I did not feel a greasy residue on my face like so many other products I have tried. I am happy with the both products, one I would purchase in the future for myself, the Primer, the other, the Foundation, I would purchase for my teenager. Both are wonderful products.
