Evenflo SimplyGo Single Electric Breast Pump Review

As a breast-feeding mom, I really appreciate having a pump that makes the task relatively painless and easy. This is why I am very excited about my new Evenflo SimplyGo Single Electric Breast Pump. I am not one to start out with the negatives but my least favorite thing about this pump is that it isn’t designed for frequent use. I wish it was because I love it and of the three pumps I have tried (including a hospital grade one) it allows me to express milk with the most speed, ease and comfort!

One of the best features is the fact that it does not have tubing. You simply insert the flange into the hand held motor and it clicks easily into place. Attach the included 5 oz. bottle and you are good to go. The overflow valve prevents milk or moisture from backing up into the motor (with tubing you run the risk of getting moisture in the motor unless you get the tube completely dry after each use). Equally wonderful is the fact that the dial allows you to adjust it to the perfect setting for you. This gives more of an option than a pump with just three settings. I find it to be comfortable and efficient when turned almost all the way up. Unlike the hospital grade pump I used, it comes with a soft silicone insert for the flange which helps increase the comfort since it flexes with your skin instead of cutting into it. The pump is also compact and has a minimum of parts, making it very portable!

The pump comes with a 2-pack of Simply Absorbent breast pads with coupon (very soft and absorbent pads), a 5-ounce collection bottle, nipple, hood, sealing disc, soft flange insert, additional overflow valve and a handy carrying case that easily stores all components. This pump is only meant to be used twice per day so it is ideal for moms who work part-time or who just need to pump occasionally when they are going to be away from their baby. As a full-time working mom, I am planning to alternate using this with a frequent-use pump since I love the way it works! The pump is also available as a dual model.
