Book Review: RelationTrips
Author: Jeff Siegel
Our family is giddy with excitement as we are getting ready for our summer road trip. My husband and I are traveling with our three children ages 3, 4 and 6 from Florida to our mountain cabin in Virginia. When I was a young girl I remember all of our summer road trips and it was a great way to bond with my parents, creating lasting memories. My children are now old enough to start our own road trip memories and turn this from a dreaded 13 hour drive with three young children into an unforgettable journey.
RelationTrips by author, Jeff Siegel was written to inspire, “simple, powerful ways to bond with your loved ones through personalized road trips.” This enjoyable book is part memoir and workbook that explores the relationship between the author and his son as they grew closer through their own road trips. The photos of their journey help the reader feel like a part of their trip and it captures the special relationship between a father and son. My husband and I read through this book together in order to get ideas for our own trip and we thoroughly enjoyed it.
The author has a host of ideas for readers to plan their road trip and create their own treasured memories including:
- Determine the theme
- Designate a “RelationTrips Central”
- Establish a “Dream Notebook”
- Develop an itinerary
- Create a brand for the trip
My family was able to incorporate ideas from RelationTrips into our upcoming trip and we are more excited than ever to head out……Virginia here we come!
You are invited to visit the RelationTrips website for lots of interesting ways to plan the “road trip of a lifetime.”
