BAND-AID has always been a trusted brand, both in my parents’ house when I was a child and now in my own home, where I’m doing the child-rearing. It’s just a fact of life that kids get scraped up knees, bumps, bruises, and sometimes even worse. Even though my little girl is a bit wobbly and klutzy, we’ve been really lucky that she hasn’t suffered any major injuries. The worst she’s experienced so far is stitches on her forehead from when she tripped and crashed into the edge of one of my bookshelves.
It’s always best to be prepared, so thanks to BAND-AID, I now have several boxes of BAND-AID brand adhesive bandages and tubes of Neosporin stocked up in my bathroom. Each of the boxes I received contains 20 bandages, 10 that are ¾ in. x 3 in., and 10 that are ⅝ in. x 2 ¼ in. I love having a choice between which size of bandage to use, since some scrapes and cuts aren’t as large as others.
BAND-AID bandages are a lot more fun than I remember as a kid, because they now feature some of today’s kids’ favorite cartoon characters. It was such a surprise opening the BAND-AID care package and seeing boxes of bandages featuring Phineas and Ferb, Tinker Bell and Friends, and this summer’s exciting new Pixar release, Cars 2. No one wants to get cut or scraped, but it’s bound to happen. I think BAND-AID bandages that feature familiar and beloved characters like Tinker Bell or Lightning McQueen help to brighten a kid’s day after a tumble or bump.
