Tuesday’s Top Blogs According to Mommy Is A Beautiful Mess
Welcome to the second week of my newest feature- Tuesday’s Top Blogs! I thought it would be a great way to discover some new and interesting blogs. Each week I will feature a different person and ask them to list their five favourite blogs and why they like them. This week, I’m pleased to have Sara from Mommy is a Beautiful Mess join us!
My name is Sara and my blog is Mommy is a Beautiful Mess. I am by all means not a “writer” and I am still learning about this whole blog stuff. I decided to just do it and start my blog; I wanted to get out some of the issues that I have with depression and being divorced and hope that maybe I can help someone else open up like I have. It was a tough decision to make to let it all out like I did, but it helped me so much to just open up and let it all out and not hold it in anymore. I have been a divorced single mom for the past three years. I also blog about my beautiful five year old daughter, baking, dating, my friends and just life in general. I love to clip coupons and find great deals! I am also a photographer on the side, so I LOVE to take photos and show them off. Mostly my photos are of my daughter and our life. My life isn’t perfect and most of the time it’s just an adventure, but my daughter and I are making our way through it and taking it day by day!
Besides finding Simply Stacie and keeping up on her blog and getting her great ideas and help, some of my favorite blogs that I read almost every day are:
Barefoot Foodie ~ I came across Brittney’s blog when she was pregnant with her daughter, which was about 3 years ago. I love her. She tells it how it is, and sometimes says things that we are all too afraid to say ourselves. Reading her blog most of the time puts a smile on my face, even if I’m having a crapy day!
Blogging Dangerously~ Last year Kit wrote a post every day for a whole year. It was awesome! Kit is an anonymous blogger, Kit isn’t even her real name! She, like Brittney, also tells things how they are and will say things some of us would never put out there. She talks about everything in her life and even has “Sex homework” for her readers! She is so funny.
The Bloggess ~ Jenny is hilarious as well. (I think I really like the funny ones!!) Jenny blogs about whatever crazyness that is going on in her life. She also has a couple other blogs that she participates. She will always put a smile on your face, she does for me anyways.
Moosh In Indy ~ I can relate to Casey. Sometimes I read her blog and I feel like she is right in my head saying the exact words that I hold back. She blogs about her depression (which is the part that I can relate to), infertility, pregnancy, being a Mormon and also takes a ton of photos of her now two beautiful daughters.
The Savvy Mom’s Guide ~ I am a big do it yourselfer, and I love to do crafty things and get ideas online. This blog is awesome for stuff like that. They have tips, recopies, ideas and so much more for Moms (and dads).
