Rock N Learn Review
I have been a fan of Rock ‘N Learn® educational DVD’s and CD’s since using the Rock ‘N Phonics® series with my young children. I am impressed with the content and the fact that each DVD or CD is not only educational but also entertaining so it really engages my children’s interest in learning about the subject matter.
Rock ‘N Learn® has a wide variety of DVD videos, Audio CD’s and iPad apps in subjects such as math, phonics and reading, science and social studies, languages and even a section devoted to preschool and kindergarten. The bright, colorful animation and fun characters help to reinforce and set a solid foundation for learning.
I home educate my children who are in preschool and kindergarten and we appreciate having the Rock ‘N Learn® products available to supplement our curriculum. We are currently learning about time and it is very helpful to have the “Telling Time” DVD video accessible because it reinforces what we are learning in books and hands on activities by using rhymes, music and animation. My kids respond well to “Timothy Time” and his musical friends, Kuku and Digi who are teaching both analog and digital time. I viewed “Telling Time” with my eldest son, age 6 and I could see how he was really focusing on answering the questions and following along with the dialog as he was learning. I also appreciate that it spends quite a bit of time on analogs because I believe it is important that children learn the traditional form of telling time as opposed to only learning about digital time (which is also included). I will continue to use “Telling Time” as I teach time to my children because it is a high quality educational DVD and an excellent addition to our Rock ‘N Learn® collection.
One our favorite Rock ‘N Learn® DVD’s is the award winning “Colors, Shapes & Counting” title that has been view numerous times and enjoyed by all three of my children over the years. Recommended for ages 3 to 5, this DVD has helped my children get ready for kindergarten and even has challenging advanced colors and shapes to really stimulate learning. There is even an accompanying audio CD and book that you can enjoy along with the DVD video.
Rock ‘N Learn is an affordable way to help children learn about a variety of subjects incorporating music to reinforce the concepts being taught. I have watched the effects and outcome of our Rock ‘N Learn DVD’s with my own children and it really works! You can view the entire collection of over 50 titles in the Rock ‘N Learn library and find the perfect title for your own child or students.
