Hawaiian Snacks Review

My family loves to snack between meals, but the same old snacks of pretzels and graham crackers gets tiring after awhile. I’ve been wanting to try something new, so I was glad when we were contacted to review Hawaiian® Kettle Style Potato Chips. I was a little bit hesitant in the decision because I’ve tried kettle chips before and always found them to be too hard. But as soon as the box arrived with 4 delicious flavors for me to try, I dug right in. Hawaiian® Kettle Style Potato Chips were not as hard as I expected, but they are definitely crispy and crunchy as advertised, and don’t skimp on the flavor.

Wasabi is the newest flavor to this brand, and it literally set my mouth on fire. I’m such a wimp when it comes to spicy foods, but I couldn’t stop myself from eating more. This is definitely a different kind of flavor for me when it comes to snacking. Usually I got for something sweet, but I liked the blend of salty and spicy. This chip is a combination of flavors, and it shouldn’t come as a surprise to you that horseradish is one of the ingredients in this particular chip.

Sweet Maui Onion was exactly the flavor I needed to get my sweet fix. Crunchy, sweet, and salty is a tastier combination than I ever realized. I’d love to try an authentic Hawaiian dish with sweet onions in them. I bet it would taste even better than these already tasty chips.

Luau BBQ was also really spicy, but like the Wasabi, I just couldn’t stop eating them. When I first bit one, I was met with a rush of sweetness and then the spiciness took over. I would definitely buy more of this flavor. They are great for the times when you just can’t make up your mind. Spicy or sweet? Well, why not both?

Original is neither sweet nor spicy, but it’s perfect for those days when you just want a favorite flavor. To me, these tasted just like french fries, but all wrapped up in a chip instead. They are delicious, salty, and slightly oily–just like my favorite fries!

If your grocer doesn’t carry Hawaiian® Kettle Style Potato Chips you can order them online. Just make sure that you have several bags on hand, because you won’t want to stop at just one!
