Edy’s Slow Churned Shakes & Fruit Smoothies Review
With the heat topping 94 degrees in Florida, there is nothing quite as refreshing as a delicious milk shake on a hot summer day. My family recently had the opportunity to try Edy’s Slow Churned Shakes and Fruit Smoothies. This new frozen snack from Edy’s makes it easier than ever to mix up an ice cream parlor style milk shake or smoothie at home. The single serve treats come in their own mixing cup and I simply removed the lid, added milk, stirred and voila…….a rich and creamy indulgence. Thankfully, Edy’s Slow Churned Shakes have one-third few calories and half the fat of regular shakes so I didn’t mind letting my kids enjoy their treat. My kid’s favorite flavor was Chocolate which had a decadent, creamy chocolate treat but we also enjoy Vanilla, Strawberry and Cookies ‘n Cream (my husband’s favorite). Edy’s Slow Churned Shakes are drinkable but we used a bit less milk because we preferred a thicker shake that they ate using a spoon and then drinking as it melted.
Edy’s Fruit Smoothies are my favorite because I prefer smoothies and the real fruit taste mixed with frozen yogurt is quite delicious and refreshing. Using fat free milk makes these a fat free treat but I made mine using coconut milk and it was absolutely fantastic! I also appreciate that these smoothies contain calcium, Vitamin D, Vitamin C and live and active cultures.
I easily found Edy’s Slow Churned Shakes and Fruit Smoothies in the freezer section at my local grocery store for only $1.79 for a single-serve 10 oz shake or 9.5 oz smoothie. Edy’s Shakes and Smoothies are now available nationwide and to find a store near you visit www.icecream.com
