Dora the Explorer: It’s Haircut Day DVD Review
All three of my little ones think the world of Dora the Explorer so the new DVD, Dora the Explorer: It’s Haircut Day was much anticipated in our home. This Paramount Home Video release is particularly fun for those who have young children who dread getting their hair cut or maybe even for a little one who is getting their hair cut for the very first time. With a wholesome collection of popular episodes, the fun songs and humorous story lines are helpful to take the scariness out of those buzzing clippers, overwhelming barber chairs and a stranger cutting the child’s hair.
My children are 3, 4 and 6 and they thoroughly enjoyed all four episodes. Their favorite was “Dora’s Hair Raising Adventure” because Boots gets his first haircut to surprise his mother. I couldn’t stop giggling along with them when the “Grumpy Old Troll” makes a hysterical appearance. This DVD also includes Happy Birthday Super Babies, Baby Winky Goes Home! and Dora’s Pegaso Adventure.
There is over 90 minutes of fun making this a perfect DVD to take in the car on a road trip. I appreciate the content of this Nickelodeon hit series and the fact that my children are always learning something new or practicing a skill while being entertained by this quality programming. In fact, my three year old recently counted to ten proudly in English and Spanish and my husband thought that I was teaching him to be bilingual since I am a homeschooling mom however he promptly told him, “Mommy didn’t teach me that…..Dora did!”
Dora the Explorer: It’s Haircut Day is available on DVD for the SRP of $16.99 and can be purchased online or at a major retailer near you.
