Nestle Mini Drumsticks Review

I remember when I was a kid my dad would take us to the store and we were allowed to pick up a treat for ourselves. On those hot summer days, I always reached for a Nestle Drumstick in Vanilla Caramel. Even now that I’m older I like to have a drumstick as a special treat every once in a while. Nothing beats that smooth, creamy ice cream with it’s sweet caramel centre and deliciously crunchy waffle cone- Yum! I would have eaten one every day if I could have, but that may not have been the best thing for my waist line.

Well things have changed because Nestle has just introduced the Mini Drumstick at just 110 calories per cone! Now I wouldn’t feel guilty if I did want a little treat each day!  It’s also a great size for kids who can’t always finish the big drumsticks and end up making a big mess.

I had a chance to try out all four flavours of Nestle Mini Drumstick. They come in two variety packs- chocolate and vanilla.

In the Vanilla variety pack, you get these two flavours:

Cookie Dough: Creamy cookie dough, topped with decadent chocolate sauce and chewy cookie dough pieces, in a mini chocolatey lined sugar cone with a chocolately surprise at the tip.

Vanilla Caramel: Cream vanilla, topped with rich caramel sauce and graham topping pieces, in a mini chocolatey lined sugar cone with a chocolately surprise at the tip.

In the Chocolate variety pack, you get these two flavours:

Chocolate: Creamy chocolate topped with decadent chocolate sauce and a sprinkle of peanuts, in a mini chocolatey lined sugar cone with a chocolately surprise at the tip.

Fudge Brownie: Creamy chocolate topped with fudge sauce and rich brownie pieces, in a mini chocolatey lined sugar cone with a chocolately surprise at the tip.

They were all scrumptious and hit the spot for those sweet tooth cravings. We had some here with the kids this long weekend and they enjoyed them as well. I liked that they didn’t make a big mess while they were  eating them. Something that would be inevitable if they were to eat a larger cone. My favourite was my old faithful, Vanilla Caramel, while John said his favourite was Cookie Dough. I didn’t feel guilty eating them because I knew they were only 110 calories.

I will definitely be picking up more of the Mini Drumsticks over the summer. They will be great as treats for sleepovers and barbecues. The Nestle Mini Drumsticks come in packs of 10 and are available in chocolate and vanilla varieties.  They retail for $7.99- $8.99/10 pack and can be purchased at grocery stores across Canada. Pick some up on your next shopping trip for a little treat!
