Episencial® is proud to present their sunscreen and skincare line for babies and kids which features the world of Eric Carle.
We live in Florida so I really like the Sunny Sunscreen™ with SPF 35 which I use every morning on the kids before they head outside to play to protect them from to much sun exposure. This water resistant formula is light and creamy and absorbs nicely into their skin with no irritation. It is made with Titanium Oxide and Zinc Oxide along with soothing shea butter, oils of sesame, safflower, organic green tea and avocado. I appreciate that there are no harsh chemicals absorbing into their skin and my kids love that they are not covered from head to toe in white residue.
My daughter suffers from severe eczema so she really likes the Soothing Cream™ that provides relief from her itching and dry, cracked skin with oat kernel extract and organic borage seed along with other natural ingredients.
Additional Benefits of using the Soothing Cream™:
- Multi-purpose moisturizer helps treat rashes and red, irritated skin.
- Fortified with probiotics, and made with a 50% aloe vera base to help soothe, cool and comfort bothered skin.
- Insider tip! Great as diaper cream for use with cloth diapers; or to sooth adult skin post shave or wax.
Finally, the Protective Face Balm with SPF 6 works really well to soothe my little ones’ lips giving them additional protection from sun exposure. Though it can also be used on the face, I typically use a higher SPF because we live in Florida but I do like to apply it to the delicate skin of their lips and the tops of their ears each morning along with the Sunny Sunscreen™. I also like to use it after sun if I notice any sun exposure at all and this formula absorbs nicely into their skin…..perfect for wind burn too.
Kim Walls, the CEO and Chief Formulator of Episencial® is proud to offer moms a line of high quality natural skin care specifically developed for the sensitive needs of babies and children. This line even contains a Skin Immune Complex™ which is said to boost the skin’s immune function and help the body ward off illness. You can also feel good that Episencial® uses recycled packaging and solar power to manufacture their products.
Overall, I really like these products though I hope that they develop a formula with a higher SPF too which I can use for direct sun days at the pool or beach. My kids love the talented author, Eric Carle so they are more willing to stand still while I apply these products while holding and looking at the colorful tubes. There is even a fun creative art project with The Very Hungry Caterpillar™ that they enjoyed completing.
In the fight against skin cancer (May is Skin Cancer Awareness Month)……..I am passionate about raising awareness. I am very fair skinned and was born and raised in Florida so when I was diagnosed with skin cancer earlier this year I was devastated. I am determined to protect my children’s delicate skin from the sun and Episencial® is one “weapon” in my arsenal. You can learn more about this by visiting Dermstore.com and look for the special promotion with Episencial® on orders over $30.
