Book Review | A Dog’s Purpose

Title: A Dog’s PurposeLiterature & Fiction Books)

Author: W. Bruce Cameron

My Review:

I am absolutely in love with A Dog’s Purpose. For starters, the way it is written, from the dog’s perspective, is a novel and endearing approach. If you’ve ever had a dog — ever known that extra special love that a dog shares with his/her human, then you will also fall in love with this book.

It is so clever, so creative, and so heartwarming, it is (prepare for the cliché) hard to put down. But it’s so darn true! I found myself laughing out loud, smiling, and, at times, getting teary-eyed. That’s when you know a novel has found its way into your heart. That’s precisely what A Dog’s Purpose will do, quickly and completely. Good old Bailey definitely found a place there as well…I loved his wit, his charm, his pure innocence.

Believe it or not, this book left me longing for other stories like A Dog’s Purpose, a book that evokes emotion and leaves you wanting more. Perhaps W. Bruce Cameron will consider turning this concept into a series. Maybe, Mr. Cameron? If not, A Dog’s Purpose stands as a wonderful, endearing, and engaging novel, all on its own.

*I received a copy of this book to review but I was not financially compensated in any way. The opinions expressed are my own and are based on my observations while reading this novel.*
