Gummy Lump Review

I discovered Gummy Lump two years ago when I was searching for quality toys that would inspire my three young children with imaginative play and I have never been disappointed with any of the products that I have ordered. In fact, Gummy Lump consistently exceeds my expectations with their diverse selection of play food, wooden toys, Automoblox Wooden Cars (a favorite of my five year old son), Special Needs toys, Arts & Crafts, Personalized toys and so much more.

My children love to play for hours in their play kitchen and pretend to set up their own restaurant and picnics too. My source for the best play food is Gummy Lump which has every play food set imaginable for the most affordable prices. In the past I have been very pleased with the Melissa and Doug Playtime Fruits and Pizza Party! Play Food.

Recently, my children were so excited to play with two newest additions to their play food sets including the Melissa and Doug Ice Cream Parlor Play Food Set and the Melissa and Doug Slice and Bake Cookies Play Food Set. We recently had a very rainy day and the children were disappointed that we had to cancel our picnic in the park. My daughter suggested a “pretend picnic” and they proceeded to spend the next 1 ½ hours working to set up a fun indoor picnic with their new play food sets from Gummy Lump.

The Melissa and Doug Ice Cream Parlor Play Food Set is such a creative and fun idea because it includes everything they need to set up their very own ice cream shop. My three year old created a double scoop ice cream cone and said, “Look Mommy, I can eat as much as I want of this delicious ice cream” with a twinkle in his eye (I admit it….I only allow them a small ice cream treat once in awhile). They proceeded to have so much fun creating cones using the two scoopers in a fun freezer case using four ice cream scoops and two cones. What makes this set so neat is that the ice cream scoops are magnetic and easily pick up each scoop to make the perfect colorful ice cream cone. Gummy Lump has this ice cream parlor set fantastically priced at only $23.99 and this is by far my children’s all time favorite play food set for their kitchen!

My children really enjoy “baking” cookies with the Slice and Bake Cookies Play Food Set by Melissa and Doug. My children are always asking to help me bake in the kitchen but I am tentative because I am afraid someone will get burned. They were so pleased to be able to make their own “cookies” and this wooden set is so comprehensive. It includes 12 cookies, 18 colorful toppings that attach and come apart easily, knife, spatula, a kitchen mitt and cookie sheet. This play food set is perfect for little hands and my kids had a blast taking the cookies out of the cookie tube, slicing, decorating and finally serving their freshly baked cookies to my husband and I for “dessert.” I love watching them creatively decorating each cookie and watching their faces beam with pride as they bake for us. The Melissa and Doug Slice and Bake Cookie Set is the 2009 Learning Express Best Toy Award and is available at Gummy Lump for only $15.99 (a great value as I have seen these for almost $20 at other stores recently).

There are so many fun play food sets to choose and you can see the entire collection here.

As a regular customer of Gummy Lump toys for my own children, I can highly recommend this company for their excellent customer service, high quality toy selection and great values. WOW! Here is an excellent deal at Gummy Lump to let you save while stocking up on great play food……buy 3 Melissa and Doug Play Food Sets and receive the 4th FREE!
