Green Works Review

I’ve been a busy bee this past month not only with my blog (two server upgrades and complete blog and Social Media design), but also around my house with Spring cleaning. I actually enjoy cleaning because it feels so glad when I’m done and to get chores I’ve been putting aside accomplished. I’ve been using many Green Works products to complete my tasks and have to say that this is one of my favourite brands to use. I’ve been using their dish detergent for awhile now, and was excited to try out some of the other products in their line.

Every room in my house needed work and I was able to use each and every product to get my house in tip top shape. It looks so much better (and smells fresher too!).

I also appreciate that Green Works are natural cleaners that follow these main principles:

  • Ingredients come from renewable resources
  • Biodegradable
  • Free of Petrochemicals
  • Not Tested on Animals

They have a product to help you accomplish what every cleaning activity you could even imagine. The products I tried are:

Green Works Natural Toilet Bowl Cleaner: No strong fumes to knock you out when you are bent over scrubbing. It actually quite mild and makes this “icky” task more bearable.  Plus, it works great to take off stains and keep my bowl shiny and white.

Green Works Cleaning Wipes: Hands down this product is the most versatile of the entire line. I use these wipes EVERYWHERE!! They work awesome on cleaning my disgusting dusty baseboards (my mom always notices these so I have to make sure I clean them good), cleaning the toilet seat and outside of the bowl, wiping down the shower, making dusty shelves shine like new and cleaning up spills. They leave no chemical residue and do the trick everytime. I never want to run out because I use them that much.

Green Works All Purpose Cleaner: This all natural cleaner can be used just about anywhere as well. Its a spray so you just spray and wipe clean with a cloth or paper towel. I used it to clean my stove top and the kitchen counters. It cuts through grease really good and that’s why I mainly keep it for my kitchen jobs. I spray it on our black fridge to get rid of fingerprints.  There’s no harsh smell either.

Green Works Glass & Surface Cleaner: This cleaner is perfect for mirrors and glass table tops. I use it mainly to clean my windows and the few mirrors that we have in the house. I find the front door window is constantly getting smudges (like someone is putting their nose up to the glass and looking in) and I am always spraying and wiping it clean. No streaks!

Green Works Multi-Surface Cleaner: The directions say that this cleaner can be used on any type of floors so I used it to wash my hardwood floors in my dining room, living room and front hall. It worked great! I liked the mild smell that didn’t scream chemicals (they give me a headache) and it made my floor look so much better- shiny and new. It needed a good cleaning trust me! I like that I can use it on my linoleum too so if I got lazy I would have to dump the bucket and add a new cleaner each time I move to do a different room.

Green Works Dishwashing Liquid: Like I mentioned, I was already using this product when I got the box for review so I knew how well it worked. I like it because I have sensitive skin and it doesn’t irritate my hands to wash the dishes with it. Plus it works well for getting the dishes clean without much soaking. It seems to cut through grease and stuck on food like it’s not there. For really stuck on foods, I put a little hot water and a dash of the soap and let it sit for a few hours and it’s usually good to go. It’s a keeper for sure!

Green Works Laundry Detergent: I’ve also used this one before and I like the Free & Clear version the best. However, both the regular and Free & Clear work great for people with sensitive skin like me. I can’t stand harsh fragrances and get a rash when ever I wear anything that has been washed in regular detergent. With Green Works though, I am fine because it does not leave a chemical residue on my clothes.

I definitely prefer to use natural products like Green Works over their chemical counterparts. They work just as good (or even better) and it helps us to live a more natural lifestyle.
