Book Review | Consider It Done
Author: Julie Subotky
Consider It Done-Accomplish 228 of Life’s Trickiest Tasks by Julie Subotky is one of the most interesting and at times odd but never boring “life management tips” and “how to” book that I have ever read. Consider It Done does offer practical advice such as “How to entire your kids to eat their vegetables” but also gets you ready just in case it might come in handy to know “how to get rescued from a desert island.” While some of these 228 practical tips, hints and advice seem downright silly (does anyone really need to know how to hire a lion tamer for a party?)……the author’s accompanying real life tales stemming from her career as the CEO of a personal concierge company is laugh out loud hilarious.
I did enjoy Consider It Done and here are just a few of my favorites:
- How to Build a Sand Castle that Won’t Collapse
- How to Eat for Free for an Entire Week
- How to Choose the Ripest Watermelon
- How to Organize Your Closet in twenty minutes
Then……there is the interesting but unusual:
- How to purchase a Vietnam Combat Photo
- How to send a Banana in the Mail (with No box or Envelope)
- How to charter a Tugboat
Overall, I found this to be an entertaining book and I did find nuggets of very useful information. I think of this as an “I wonder how I could ever…..” informational type of book.
