L’il Critters® Omega-3 Gummy Fish Review

The best piece of nutritional advice I ever got from my daughter’s pediatrician was to give her a daily omega supplement and vitamin D for her asthma. Surprisingly, I noticed that many of the children’s omega supplements had artificial colors and flavors added much to my disappointment. I was thrilled to discover L’il Critters® Omega-3 Gummy Fish which only uses natural colors and flavors. My children have always enjoyed the taste of L’il Critters® but recently the company has introduced a new improved taste which has won the 2011 ChefsBest® “Best Taste” Award. I have to say that we were always fans but the new Lemonade, Strawberry Lemonade and Cherryade flavors are very tasty. I appreciate that the colors are derived from carrot, blueberry, black carrot juice extract and turmeric. L’il Critters® Omega-3 Gummy Fish contains 32 mg of DHA per serving and includes Vitamins A, C, D and E along with flaxseed oil extract.

Since L’il Critters® Omega-3 Gummy Fish contains fish (tuna), I am very appreciative that the product only uses “high quality, purified fish oil that has been tested for mercury and PCB’s.” There is no detectable “fishy” smell or taste so I would imagine that this would appeal to most children’s palates. I know that my children love it!

If I forget to give my children their serving of L’il Critters® Omega-3 Gummy Fish they make sure to remind me in the evening as they especially look forward to the fun fish or starfish critter shapes that have a nice, soft chewy texture. L’il Critters® Omega-3 Gummy Fish are available at drugstores and leading retailers as well as online. You can learn more about the entire L’il Critters® product line by visiting the Northwest Naturals website.
