Simple Green Review

I have been a fan of Simple Green cleaning products for years but only recently became aware that there was a line of cleaners specifically designed for motorsports and vehicles. What initially attracted me to Simple Green is that the products are non-toxic and biodegradable. For years, I have tried to encourage my husband to replace his chemically laden car cleaning products with natural cleaners and he has been very resistant protesting that natural products would “not clean as well”. I am very pleased to announce that my husband has finally replaced all of his toxic car cleaning products with Simple Green and declares the products in their Garage Product Cleaning Line to be “excellent cleaners” that are better than any of his prior cleaners combined.

Simple Green Motorsports is an excellent cleaner and degreaser that is non-corrosive and safe on aluminum and carbon fiber. This is a serious cleaner that just melted away caked on dirt and grime on our dirt bike. In fact, my husband was actually giggling (I wasn’t supposed to mention that…shh!) as he cleaned it. What is very impressing is that it is used to clean airline parts and meets Boeing Spec D6-17487P. This would be excellent for four wheelers, jet skis, boats, campers, engine parts and gears, tools, cleaning up after oil changes etc. My husband is already dreaming of the many uses for Simple Green Motorsports.

Simple Green Car Wash is a concentrated cleaner that has excellent foaming action with lots of suds, it rinses clean with no water spots or streaks and is safe for all vehicle finishes. We first tried this car wash cleaner from Simple Green on my Scion and my husband’s Tundra. Then our little ones decided to join in on the cleaning fun and washed their bikes at the same time. It was a lot of fun and I didn’t have to worry that my children were using corrosive or harmful chemical cleaners as this product is non-toxic and phosphate free. It has a fantastic scent that is fresh and clean smelling and a little bit really goes a long which is good for your pocketbook too. I have already mentioned how particular my husband is about his vehicle cleaning products and he declared Simple Green Car Wash to be a “winner” after cleaning his truck.

My husband is a printer so he really likes the Simple Green Heavy Duty Hand Cleaner Gel which he uses to remove ink, grease, oil etc. The product uses lanolin and pumice and can be used with or without water. He thinks it works best by rubbing his dirty hands together while dry with the product and then using hot water to rinse. As always, you can feel confident because this product is non-toxic and non-hazardous. There was no irritation to his hands after multiple uses of Simple Green Heavy Duty Hand Cleaner Gel.

My favorite product is the Simple Green Scrubbing Pad which is actually packed with concentrated Simple Green Cleaner. I could use this product for a million (well almost) uses and was amazed at how with just a bit of water this has the perfect foaming cleaning action for up to multiple uses. To be as honest as possible, this Simple Green Scrubbing Pad probably should have been tested as a garage cleaning product but I simply refused to hand it over to my husband. I promised him that I would buy him another one to use for his garage cleaning projects but this is my favorite cleaning accessory and it is all mine! It scrubs without scratching and as promised it continues to “magically” emit cleaner for numerous uses. It is perfect for light and heavy duty jobs and I plan to keep these well stocked in my cleaning arsenal.

Simple Green products are available at many major automotive retailers including Auto Zone, Pep Boys, Checkers as well as Home Depot, Ace/True Value and many other retailers. You can learn more about the entire line of Simple Green products at their website.
