Blog Spotlight | PrincessReviews

Today I would like to welcome Tasha from PrincessReviews. I had a chance to learn more about her blog and here’s what she had to say…

Please tell me about yourself.

My name is Tasha, and I am a 13-year-old 9th grader that lives in the United States. I travel around a lot, and I love to blog, read, interview, text, and listen to music. I have a mom, a dad, a sister, and the best dog alive! 🙂

Please tell me about your blog.

PrincessReviews: Where Everything is Reviewed by A Princess!PrincessReviews is a blog where we review books, movies, television shows, magazines, products, food, resturants, candy, anything and everything, you name it! We also interview authors, artists, singers, and anyone that we can interview! We also have tons of contests and giveaways, especially during the November/December/January months, where the holidays are packed in. We currently have a little over 100 followers and would love for even more!

How long have you been blogging?

I started blogging back around Feburary 2010, with my first blog, Writing Right. Before then, I had many, many websites from Webs.com. I started PrincessReviews in May 2010, and it is the blog that I work on the most and am most proud of.

How did you get started?

In school, we were talking our state exam that is required every year, when an article on it was about Blogging and blogger.com. I found it fascinating and wanted to try it out for myself, so I did, and here I am!

What kinds of products do you feature on your blog?

Pretty much anything. There’s tons of stuff there, so check it out!

What was your favourite giveaway?

I don’t have a favorite giveaway; I like them all!

Who does your blog appeal to?

I try to make my blog appeal to everyone, reviewing things that people of both genders, all ages, all over the world can relate to, or want to go out and read or buy that product that I’ve reviewed, or go check out something by someone I’ve just interviewed. Unfortunatley, even though we do have adult books and authors reviewed and interviewed, I think that PrincessReviews appeals to the Young Adult age group the most, with probably a bit more towards the girl side than the nuetral or boy side.

What direction do you see your blog going in the future?

In the future, I’m hoping to have a ton of more reviews, since it is a review blog, and a little less the extra, unnessisary things, like what’s going on in my life and stuff. I’m also hoping to have some cool buttons for it, and hosting some awesome blog hops. I definatly see contests and giveaways in the future as well!

What is the biggest challenge you have faced so far with your blog?

The biggest challenge I’ve faced with my blog so far, is not having anything to post for a while. I like when a blog is constantly being updated, or constantly has new posts up, without going a week without something new up. When I have that week of review-block, I feel like I’m letting my followers down.

What do you love about blogging?

I love everything about blogging! The joy of having followers that actually care about what you’re writing, the chance to have something put up all over the world, all of it is amazing. I love blogging!

Do you have a blogging pet peeve?

Besides an inactive blog, I don’t think I have a blogging pet peeve, yet.

Do you have any advice for the readers entering your giveaway? newbie review bloggers?

To readers entering my giveaways – Thanks for entering! It’s really easy to enter, and if you feel like it’s not, let me know and I’ll try to fix it. Don’t be mad if you don’t win, there are a ton of other contests and giveaways up that you can enter! I use random.org to determine the winner, so it’s completely fair. Again, let me know if you feel something is unfair.Newbie review bloggers – Congratulations on starting a blog! It can be a lot of hard work, but if you push through and keep going, it will turn out to be awesome, you’ll love it! If you need any help and you think that I can help, feel free to email me! I’ve had to do that to some blogs when I was starting off, and they were more than happy to help!

Tell me some of your favourite blogs that you read.

Some of my favorite blogs include Mydnite Reader, I’m a Reader Not a Writer, Simply Stacie, and ReviewBlog101
