Softsoap® & American Public Health Association “Get Ready” Hand Washing Timers Review

Having an asthmatic child makes me especially nervous during cold and flu season so I was pleased to find out that Softsoap® has teamed up with the American Public Health Association (APHA) to create a really useful and fun “Get Ready” Hand Washing Timer.

“Get Ready” Hand Washing Timers easily attach to Softsoap® liquid handsoap pumps and play a fun song, a rendition of “If You Are Happy and You Know It” with flashing red lights for a full 20 seconds so children will know exactly how long they need to wash their hands before rinsing germs down the drain. My kids are fully aware of the importance of hand washing after years of drilling it into them and they really loved this fun and useful timer. It took only a couple of seconds to attach it to the Softsoap® Handsoap Foam Works Dora the Explorer dispenser and it worked great. My kids didn’t groan whenever I told them to “go wash your hands” and instead got excited, at times even suspiciously volunteering to wash them.

If you would like to learn more from the APHA about the importance of hand washing to prevent the spread of infection and viruses you can read more about it on their website.

You are also invited to visit the Softsoap® website to view the entire kid’s soap dispenser character collections.

*I was not financially compensated for this post. I received a sample of the product for review purposes. The opinions are completely my own based on my experience.*
