When I decided to switch Sadie from the plastic bottles to the glass bottles, there were 2 things that I did not like. One of those things was that I could only find plain glass bottles and I thought they were b-o-r-i-n-g. The second was me being worried that if/when she dropped them they would smash and hurt her.
Silikids is a children’s accessory company that has worked hard since 2006 making safe products for children. They did some research on silicone and noticed that it was already being used on baby products and what a wonderful material it was. They make bottle covers, Siliskin glasses, bibs and knee pads.
I was sent one of their siliskins to try out. I loved that they come in all different sizes as there are so many shapes and sizes of bottles now. I used it on one of Gracie’s wide neck bottles and I found it very easy to put on and take off. It stayed in place and made her boring old glass bottle very pretty. No more worrying about smashed glass and it gives her a little grip to hold onto as she is learning to feed herself and becoming more independent. There are siliskins to fit Born Free Bottles, Nuk Bottles, Kleen Kanteen, Sigg, Evenflo, Dr. Browns and more. They are all reasonably priced, microwave safe, dishwasher safe, and translucent so you can still see how much milk there is left, and easy to see to measure when mixing formula.
For more information or to order yours visit Silikids at www.silikids.com As you can see from the picture, Silikids bottles are tough enough for a tiger.
