Mrs. Butterworth’s Syrup Review
One of my all time favorite breakfast foods is pancakes topped in a delicious maple syrup. I like to experiment with different boxed pancake and waffle mixes as well as making them from scratch. But to me, the pancakes are not the best part; it’s all about the maple syrup.
I couldn’t say no to a bottle of Mrs. Butterworth’s syrup. For the Christmas holiday, Mrs. Butterworth was dressed up in a festive Mrs. Claus-type dress. The holiday bottles came in three different designs for a limited time only, for the same price as a regular bottle.
When I was a little girl, my dad always made pancakes and served them with squares of butter and, of course, Mrs. Butterworth’s syrup. I don’t think I have had Mrs. Butterworth’s since then because my husband is the grocery shopper and always bring home other brands. It was fun to reminisce and taste that familiar, sweet flavor once again.
Christmas may be over now, but our bottle of Mrs. Butterworth’s syrup will last us all winter long. Every time we see her dressed in her festive attire, we’ll be reminded that the spirit of Christmas should last all year long, and not just one day out of the whole year.
I can’t wait for 2011 to see how Mrs. Butterworth will be dressed up! Seeing these bottles also gave me a great idea for some inexpensive gifts. Why not give a holiday bottle of Mrs. Butterworth with some dry pancake ingredients so that your friends and loved ones can share in your delight of a delicious tasting holiday breakfast? All you’ll need is Mrs. Butterworth, instructions written on festive paper, and dried ingredients wrapped in holiday cloth. This gift is guaranteed to bring a smile to anyone’s face. Each time they make waffles or pancakes for breakfast, they’ll be sure to think of you.
