Arbonne Review

Utah weather can be very harsh on skin. I am constantly battling dry skin on my face, and have sought out several products to combat this. Most recently I got to try a 5-day sample pack from a Swiss company called Arbonne. When I was in high school, I repeatedly purchased a grocery store brand of Swiss products called St. Ives for both skin and hair. While they did the trick for me then, I’m now in a position where I want to try products that are a little more costly just so I can see if there is indeed a difference.

The 5-day sample pack that I received consisted of the following products: Smoothing Facial Cleanser, Regenerating Toner, Intensive Renewal Serum, Corrective Eye Creme, and Day and Night Moisturizers.

Arbonne claims that in just 24 hours you will begin to see a difference in your skin. Based on the information that was included with my sample pack, 83% of the clinical trial participants stated that they saw a difference. That’s a pretty good number!

The Arbonne skin care products contain all-natural ingredients combined with scientific knowledge to give you the best possible results. What was really important to see was the ingredients that Arbonne does NOT contain: formaldehyde! There is just something a little unsettling to me when I’ve learned with past products I’ve used that they contain the same ingredients used to preserve corpses.

Since I’d been testing out a different facial care system prior to Arbonne, I waited a few days, using nothing on my skin so that any results I could report would be due entirely to Arbonne.

Smoothing Facial Cleanser: This is available on Arbonne for $40.00 for 3 fl. oz. The first night I used it, it didn’t seem to lather very well, but it did have a pleasant, slightly citric scent to it. It was absolutely amazing at removing the make-up I’d been wearing! I was as if it melted off my face. This was the first step of the care routine.

Regenerating Toner: This is available on Arbonne for $35.00 for 1.7 fl. oz. Normally this is a mist that you would spray on, but my samples came in little packets like those you sometimes receive in the mail for shampoo and conditioner. Instead of spraying it on, I had to pat it all over my face (excluding the eyes) and wait for it to dry before moving on to Step 3. I had to be very careful with this because it flowed quickly out of the package. I used this morning and night. My skin definitely felt tighter after applying it.

Intensive Renewal Serum: This is available on Arbonne for $58.00 for 1 fl. oz. The purpose of this serum is to reduce fine lines. This was the 3rd step in the routine. It felt a little sticky while I was waiting for it to dry so I could move on to the moisturizer.

Corrective Eye Creme: This is available on Arbonne for $55.00 for 0.5 fl. oz. This you apply around the orbital bone, never to the eye lid, also underneath the eye and along the brow bone. This helps get rid of puffiness and dark circles naturally. I wish I were able to test this for longer; I always have dark circles underneath my eyes!

Moisturizers: Night and day moisturizers are the final step. Each are available on Arbonne for $50.00 for the day creme (1 fl. oz.) and $85.00 for the night creme (1 oz.). Why such a price difference between the two?

Bottom line: yes, I definitely believe I saw a difference in my skin, but I think the prices for these products for the amount that you get are outrageous. I could never bring myself to pay this much for a skin care system! It does help if you purchase them as a set, bringing the cost to $323.00 for 6 products, but that’s still way more than I’m willing to pay.

*I was not financially compensated for this post. I received a sample of the product for review purposes. The opinions are completely my own based on my experience.*
