Book Review | The Templar Salvation
Title: The Templar Salvation
Author: Raymond Khoury
This book is a sequel to The Last Templar – I book I enjoyed very much. As a sequel, this offering may have surpassed the first book. It was great! Lots of action, starting nearly from the beginning. As a contemporary writer Raymond Khoury rocks! A fast-paced mystery novel, it centers around a missing treasure from the Knights Templar. The main character, FBI agent Sean Reilly, is in a race to save a woman he cares deeply for, Tess Chaykin. Both are characters from the first book.
He must betray the trust of the Vatican by stealing a document from their archives in order to track down the treasure his blackmailer is seeking. The blackmailer himself is a cunning man who has been trained by the most skilled of black operatives: terrorists and extremists. After rescuing Tess, they try to track down the treasure before the kidnapper can.
One of the most intriguing tidbits in this book is the mention of Sean’s good “friend”, Cotton Malone. He’s the main character in a series of Steve Berry’s books. I would definitely love to see a cross-over of these series! Awesome! Both writers take key points in history and use them to their own advantages. Right up there with The daVinci Code! Both books together (The Last Templar and the Templar Salvation) would make a great gift for someone for Christmas.
