Book Review | Love and Logic Magic® for Early Childhood
Author: Jim Fay and Charles Fay, Ph.D
Love and Logic Magic® for Early Childhood-Practical Parenting from Birth to Six Years by Jim Fay and Charles Fay, Ph.D is an excellent book for new parents who strive to raise “responsible and successful teens and adults.”
When I realized that I would be the mother of three children under the age of three I began to get a bit anxious and started reading lots of parenting books. The one book that I remember had the most impact was Parenting with Love and Logic by Foster W. Cline, M.D. and Jim Fay. I was excited to discover that the Love and Logic® Institute, Inc. has a wealth of information for parents including books, audios, DVD’s, conferences and even a website full of helpful hints.
My children are now ages 3, 4 and 5 and I swear that the authors had a caricature of me reproduced on the cover ofLove and Logic Magic® for Early Childhood-Practical Parenting from Birth to Six Years because this truly captures how I feel on a daily basis…..frazzled and overwhelmed.
I wish that I had this book when my children were very young because it is full of practical advice for new parents. There are helpful hints and strategies for potty training, back talk, whining (S.O.S. in our household), daycare and many of the stresses faced by parents and their toddlers in their daily lives.
