Autumn brings cooler weather to Florida but I still have to remain vigilant everyday to apply sunscreen to my three children before we head outside. Coppertone Water Babies SPF 50 has been my longtime favorite sunscreen due to how easy it is to apply and its effectiveness.
Coppertone now has a new Lotion Spray with the same SPF 50 protection. It provides instant waterproof protection and is PABA free. It is hypoallergenic and spread evenly on my children’s skin. Two of my children have very sensitive, eczema prone skin and often with other products my daughter would scream out in pain as it stings. Coppertone Water Baby Lotion Spray did not cause any irritation and my daughter didn’t say a peep as I applied it all over her body.
The only place on my children’s body that I don’t use the spray sunscreen is on their faces so I was happy to try Coppertone Oil Free Faces. I especially like that this SPF 30 sunscreen is fragrance free so you don’t have to worry about it clogging pore or breakouts. I can’t stand a greasy feeling sunscreen and this is excellent. It absorbed into my skin easily, didn’t run into my eyes and sting and was water resistant. I also liked that it contains moisturizers and Vitamins A & E to prevent aging (as I approach 40 this becomes more and more important).
The most exciting new product in the Coppertone line this fall is the Coppertone UltraGuard sunscreen lotion in SPF 90. Though my youngest son will not be able to have any sun on his burned arm for the next two years, he will require a very high SPF sunscreen for the rest of his life to protect the fragile skin/scar. It makes me confident that when the time comes, I will be able to protect him from UVA/UBA rays with SPF 90. This lotion is waterproof, photostable and moisturizing. Coppertone UltraGuard will provide protection for up to 80 minutes of activity.
As the days grow shorter and the air begins to chill please don’t forget to protect yourself and your families from damaging UVA/UVB rays. My family recently experienced two major skin cancer scares so it is important that I keep my family active but protected by the Coppertone skincare line this fall.
