Title: Embers of Love (Striking a Match)

Author: Tracie Peterson

My Review:

I just love Tracie Peterson’s novels. SHe has written over 80 books to date! This one is the first in a trilogy and it takes place in Texas {as many good romance novels do!}

Deborah Vandermark has returned home to be with her family and she has brought a
friend with her~ not a romantic friend, but rather her best girl friend.Have you ever tried to hook up a friend with another friend or family member? Sometimes good and sometimes bad. In this case, she is trying to get her brother and her best friend to, shall we say “hook up.” She is sure they are a perfect match for each other.

On her quest to find love for another, she finds a man who could perhaps be a love connection of her own… the town’s doctor~ Christopher Clayton. Deborah is intrigued by Dr. Clayton, but she is confused. She discovers a new love and appreciation for Medicine itself at a time when women were shunned from going into a medical profession.

This story explores her “coming out” and as we call it nowadays, “having it all.” I think you will find this novel to be very entertaining and enjoyable. You will laern a little about a time in history and be taken in by the plot and the characters at the same time. This is a wonderful book and I loved every minute of it. Thanks to Ms. Peterson for continuing to give us hopeless romantic types something to enjoy!

*I received a copy of this book to review but I was not financially compensated in any way. The opinions expressed are my own and are based on my observations while reading this novel.*
