Title: There’s Something Under the Bed: Children’s Experiences with the Paranormal

Author: Ursula Bielski

My Review:

There’s Something Under the Bed by Ursula Bielski is a study of children and the paranormal. It explores the heightened awareness that young children may have for paranormal activity and the ability to interact outside of our realm.

I read this book with an open mind, though I knew that there would probably be areas that I disagreed with from my own personal spiritual belief system. There is a chapter devoted to fairies that I had difficulty completing but I found the Child Visionaries and Religious Apparitions, The Birth of the Boogeyman and Communication with Animals to be fascinating. As a novice, I did enjoy reading about the history behind folklore and fairy tales and the chapter about protecting your child from fear and danger.

Ursula Bielski is the founder of Chicago Hauntings Inc. and has had a passion for educating about ghosts, supernatural folklore and the paranormal for over 20 years.

If you are interested in learning more about paranormal experiences and children then this is an excellent book to start with….I’m glad that I kept my mind open because this was an enjoyable read.

*I received a copy of this book to review but I was not financially compensated in any way. The opinions expressed are my own and are based on my observations while reading this novel.*
