Title: Old Photographs
Author: Sherie Posesorski
Phoebe is an athletic girl who loves to cycle. She is living with her Mom and stepdad in a very nice home, in a beautiful neighborhood. Her Mom thinks she has lots of friends she likes to hang with, but in reality she spends most of her time alone. Her best friend, Yuri, is gone for the summer, but they communicate through emails and texts~ she has her Blackberry and iPod with her at all times.
On one of her biking adventures, Phoebe meets Mrs. Tomblin at a yard sale. It does not take long to figure out that Mrs. Tomblin is confused and has trouble remembering things so Phoebe steps in to help her.
Phoebe loves mystery novels and she soon finds herself in a real life mystery. Mrs.l Tomblin has been robbed and attackedhysically and the police cannot firgure out who, what and where… Phoebe is so concerned and she cares about this sweet, innocent lady so much that she gets involved and tries to solve the mystery herself. Maybe the photos in Mrs. Tomblin’s house are more valuable than she knows!
This is a quirky and fun novel which will appeal to teens and young adults across the board. I really found this book fun to read and intriguing at the same time. I will be passing this one on to my teenage niece who I know will love it. I am hoping more of Ms. Posesorski’s come my way.
