The Purse Place Review

I love toys and games that do not include batteries and require my children to use tactile touch and ingenuity. My son was hooked on his new I-Spy Bag from the moment it arrived and literally spent over an hour trying to find all the treasures hidden within the grains of rice in the bag. He is learning to read and I thought I would have to help him quite a bit with the treasure list but I was wrong…he would sound out each word by himself and so this really thrilled the educator in me.

The Purse Place is an Etsy store that has a really neat selection of I-Spy bags that would appeal to every child. You can also check out her collection of I Spy bags here too at The Purse Place blog. The Care Bears bag is just adorable!

My first thought when I initially learned that it was a bag containing rice is that I would have a big mess to clean up. My two boys ages 3 and 5 can disassemble almost anything in a matter of minutes (my husband reassures me that this is normal?). I was very impressed with the durability and double stitching of these bags and once I took a good look at the I-Spy bags construction, I was no longer concerned. The window is made of heavy duty vinyl too.

I Spy bags from the Purse Place would make a really fun quiet toy that is perfect to pop in your bag and take along anywhere. I took it with us to my three year old son’s doctor’s appointment yesterday and soon all the kids in the waiting room were gathered around wanting to find a “treasure.” What a fun idea for a stocking stuffer or birthday gift too and with I Spy bags starting at only $11 did I mention how affordable it is too?

To purchase your favorite I Spy bag go to The Purse Place blog or Etsy Shop.
