Nintendo Wii thinkSMART Family Review

We recently started playing our Wii together as a family and it is so much fun. My husband is not much of a gamer but I convinced him to play the Wii game thinkSMART Family because he loves puzzles and challenges. thinkSMART Family was designed to “power up your brain” and has over 8,000 exercises for “well toned mind and bodies”. There are seven different categories including language comprehension, math, memory, logical and three-dimensional reasoning, readiness of mind and physical fitness.

We logged in to thethinkSMART Family game and my husband decided to chose math first. Hmm…being the competitive guy that he is he decided to choose math first knowing that was not my best subject. The games were challenging but fun and sadly he did beat me. Fortunately, I selected memory next which is my forte and suddenly we were tied. Over an hour later, we realized that we had been having so much fun together playing thinkSMART Family that we hadn’t realized so much time had passed. Our children were too young to play but they stayed the entire time watching and trying to figure out the game along with us. My absolute favorites were the memory challenges and this is something that I would even play by myself. My sister loves puzzles and brain teasers like these and is very competitive so this would make a great gift for her for Christmas. thinkSMART Family is rated E for Everyone and would be great for the entire family on family game night.

thinkSMART Family is for single players or up to 16 players and would be fun for your next party. thinkSMART Family can be purchased at major retailers including Toys R Us, Best Buy, Game Stop and online at

Retails: $29.99 but is currently on sale for only $19.99 at Toys R Us.
