Title: Switching on the Moon: A Very First Book of Bedtime Poems

Author: Jane Yolen and Andrew Fusek Peters

My Review:

This is a child’s first book of bedtime poems and I could not have been more pleased with it when it arrived in the mail. It’s a large hard covered book with a beautifully illustrated cover. It’s a large book which makes the pictures inside appear even more beautiful!

These poems are a collection as opposed to new works of writing which means many of them will be familiar to you~ you may have read them as a child or maybe someone read them to you.

Some of the titles include The Man in the Moon, The Star, Teddy Bear Teddy Bear, Rock-a -Bye Baby and so many more.

Poetry is so soothing and I think it’s a great way to wind down after a busy day all snuggled under the covers… listening to your Mom or Dad read these little poems to you… I’m relaxed just thinking about it!

It’s a great gift for new parents-to-be, a young child or if you are a collector of children’s books as I am, you will want to have a copy of this precious book. Can you tell I loved it?

*I received a copy of this book to review but I was not financially compensated in any way. The opinions expressed are my own and are based on my observations while reading this novel.*
