Book Review | Mon Petit Livre Du Zoo
Title: Mon Petit Livre Du Zoo
I have mentioned my love for books before. Ever since Sadie was born I have collected books for her which we read every night before bed and usually at any given point when I get passed one. She has her favourites but doesn’t really care which ones we read. She really enjoys all books.
On my quest to find Gracie books to start her collection with I looked for French books for babies and children and didn’t have much luck in my small town. I had done reviews with Scholastic Canada before so I sent an email to Nikole and asked her if she had any French books. She contacted the French department and I received 3 books for review. She is the best!!!
I am not French however so I handed them over to my sister who’s hubby is French. She wants Gracie to learn French at a young age as he daddy and his relatives are mostly French speaking. The first book they reviewed with Gracie was “Mon petit livre du Zoo”. This is a great book for English parents to be able to read to their children as well as we all learnt about animals in french in school. (even I could read this one) It even helps parents to learn classic “first words”. In this book you will see a picture of an animal and then the french name next to it. The pictures are real and not cartoon like so it will help your child to associate the animal with the word.
Mon petit livre du zoo is for ages 0-2 and retails for $9.99. It has wonderful photographs..very colorful, that will keep your child’s attention. Its a great first French book to have on hand.
*I received a copy of this book to review but I was not financially compensated in any way. The opinions expressed are my own and are based on my observations while reading this novel.*
