Blog Spotlight | Baba’s Farm Life
Today I would like to welcome Deborah from Baba’s Farm Life. I had a chance to learn more about her blog and here’s what she had to say…
Please tell me about yourself.
Wife, mom, and grandmother of 10 who lives in a multi-generational house while hubby and I try to remodel our 1888 Victorian Stone Country Farm House, while raising several farm animals. It’s a quiet country life I live, and I love it.
Please tell me about your blog.
Baba’s Farm Life is very versatile, it’s where I channel all my thoughts about our house and product reviews/giveaways, crafts, books, gardening, along with my ramblings on what every I thinks is important to say.
How long have you been blogging?
I’ve been blogging about 2 years now and have learned so much in the process.
How did you get started?
Baba’s Farm Life was started when my daughter talked me into blogging. She said to just write what you know about.
What kinds of products do you feature on your blog?
I try to stick to Family Friendly products that are important to not only our family but any other young family. Because we have all ages in our household I know that covers a lot of territory, From babies to Grand-parents, so you’ll find a lot to read about on Baba’s Farm Life.
What was your favourite giveaway?
OMG, that’s hard to answer. I really love them all, but if I have to pick just one I would have to say either the Evolve Showerhead or the American Standard OutReach Lavatory Faucet with sprayer. Probably because we are so into remodeling the house right now.
Who does your blog appeal to?
Young mothers in the 25 to 35 year range.
What direction do you see your blog going in the future?
It’s growing daily and I don’t imagine that will stop for any reason. I have been thinking I would love to team up with one or more other blogs for future projects. It’s just something I have been toying with recently, but I’m still not sure because I like my independence too much. LOL
What do you love about blogging?
I’ve met a lot of great people that I wouldn’t have if I hadn’t started blogging. That and know that I can sometimes touch someone and help them when they need it, makes all the difference. Even if it’s just knowing which products to trust for their families.
Do you have a blogging pet peeve?
Not really, unless you count the numerous computer problems I’ve dealt with. LOL I’m still waiting for a company to create a computer that I don’t have to replace every two years. Pipe dream, I know.
Do you have any advice for the readers entering your giveaway? newbie review bloggers?
As far as my giveaways – I’ve laid out all they should do in each giveaway, just read through.
For new Bloggers? Get connected, there is a lot of help online if you only look, Google is your friend for searching what ever information you need, and the blogging community is there to help all they can. Just ask, they’re a pretty friendly bunch. I don’t understand those who think it’s a competition, because it’s not.
Tell me some of your favourite blogs that you read.
I’m chuckling here because I spend way too much time reading blogs: The Pioneer woman cracks me up. History Buff for archeology news. Pro Blogger Tips. Murray Newlands. And so many others it would take forever to mention them all.
