Moon Dough Review & Giveaway (closed)
Team Mom sent me for Review something I have never heard of before. It’s called Moon Dough. Moon Dough is play dough like but doesn’t dry out and get hard. It feels like marshmallows or cotton balls and can be molded into just about anything. We received the Moon Dough Barnyard Play Set to try out. The play set retails for $19.99.
Sadie had a blast making pigs, horses, sheep and I think a cow. It comes with 3 different colors of the moon dough…white, yellow and blue. You can also make fences, pastures, and hay bails. You can set up everything on the themed play mat and it makes for easy clean up when your done. It is geared for ages 2-4 and Sadie had no troubles doing any of the molding by herself.
Now lets talk about the clean up…it is rather easy to clean up from a table or a hard surface. You can take one small piece of moon dough and pile it on other pieces and it collects quite easily. However it does not like to get wet and the only reason it did get wet was because Sadie had a wet cloth wiping her hands and some of the moon dough got on it. It washes off hands and clothes easily with a damp cloth and I took the vacuum to the dough that had fallen on the floor and it picked up the pieces from the floor as well. What I didn’t like was the fact that one big piece of moon dough can crumble into a million pieces and go everywhere but with the easy clean up and the hours of fun Sadie will have will make it okay.
Moon Dough comes in 8 colors and there are a number of play sets to choose from. Moon Dough is available at Toys R Us, Target, Walmart, Kmart, Amazon.com, A.C. Moore, Michaels and e toys. It is also hypo-allergenic and wheat-free.
