ClickN KIDS Review
As a new home educating mother with a son in kindergarten and two children in preschool, it is very important that I provide them with the best education possible. My passion is reading and I have tried to instill that same love in my children since they were born. As my eldest son embarks on his journey to learn to read, I have researched many reading and phonics based programs. I recently discovered ClickN KIDS READING Phonics and Spelling programs and wanted to share with you how excited I am with my sons reading progress. ClickN KIDS programs were created by the nationally renowned professor of research, Dr. J. Ron Nelson and have received numerous awards, including the 2009 Top Ten Reviews Gold Award.
ClickN READ Phonics uses the latest, proven technology to teach your child to read. The beginning reading program is like having a reading tutor in your own home. Unlike other online reading programs, ClickN READ Phonics contains the entire K through 3rd grade reading curriculum. The program teaches letter sounds, word blending, sight words, word blending word families and so much more. I appreciated that my son was challenged and had to work through the correct answers himself in order to move forward to the next lesson. Seeing the joy on his face when he completed a task was priceless. Once during a lesson he turned to me with a big smile and said, “Mommy, I really did it and read all those words…I am such a big kid to be able to read by myself.” When my son hit a challenging portion of the lesson, the tutor adjusted and helped him to practice until he understood the materials. This reading program is not only a top notch teaching tool but entertaining too. If I delay the normal start time for his lesson, my son inevitably asks me if it is his time to do his ClickN READ Phonics.
ClickN SPELL is backed by the latest research and teaches children from pre-school age through 5th grade the 800 most commonly used words in the English language. It is an excellent program for new learners and also for struggling spellers of any age or grade level. The program is based on three levels including learning, practicing and pop quizzes and level tests. I appreciate that my son thrives during his lessons and does not get frustrated when he has difficulty. Instead the program “guides” him along (without giving him the answers) which really boosts his confidence when he finally gets it right. In our day to day life, I have noticed that he frequently attempts to phonetically sound out and spell words on his drawings. He had never done that before, rather he would ask me to write it for him. Both ClickN READ Phonics and ClickN SPELL lessons are designed for the attention span of a child and I noticed that it took my son on average between 20-30 minutes to complete a lesson. It never “dragged on” and my son actually would have done more if he could.
ClickN KIDS programs are designed to work for special needs learners too including those with autism, dyslexia and Down syndrome. ClickN KIDS programs are so effective that there is a money back guarantee (that probably never gets used) so you can try it risk free. I have spent A LOT of money on different programs and curriculums and ClickN KIDS is by far one of the best that I have ever used to teach my children to read and spell.
To purchase ClickN KIDS programs including ClickN READ Phonics and ClickN SPELL go to their website and take advantage of an awesome sale. ClickN READ Phonics has a value of $99.95 but is currently on sale for $59.95 and ClickN SPELL is regularly $89.95 and on sale for $49.95. This is really an amazing value and I would encourage this program for any homeschooling student, special needs student or learning readers and spellers, including those who are having difficulties. There is even a flexible payment option and this program is a lifetime subscription…no annual renewals means you save big money.
