B.R.A.T. Review

When my kids are sick, I don’t like to give them electrolyte products that contain artificial colors, dyes and flavors. I was happy to discover Organic B.R.A.T. beverages that were created to help settle children’s stomach without dairy when they are sick. It is based on the B.R.A.T. diet for children while sick that I first became aware of through our pediatrician and stands for Bananas, Rice, Applesauce and Tummy Soother.

The drinks are made with organic brown rice milk, banana and apple puree and calcium, vitamin D and B vitamins. B.R.A.T. comes in Original, Vanilla, Cinnamon Toast and Chocolate Honey. I had hoped that I would not need to try these but of course my little ones got sick….so we tried the Chocolate Honey. Other than a few sips of water and ice chips, the B.R.A.T. drinks were the only things my kids could keep down. In fact, it was the drink they requested while sick. I gave it the taste test myself and it was a very mellow and yummy drink.

B.R.A.T. beverages are Casein, Soy, Corn, Gluten and Dairy Free. As a bonus there is no sugar added. Unlike those “other” sick kid drinks…this is one product that I can feel good about putting into my children’s body.
