The Cat in The Hat Knows A Lot About That! Wings & Things DVD Review

I remember the excitement I felt as a child any time my all time favorite Dr. Seuss classic “The Lorax” played on T.V. I felt that same sense of excitement watching my three little ones settle down for Family Movie Night to watch the new Cat in the Hat Knows A lot About That series on DVD. This series is based on the favorite children’s learning book series. It features the Cat in the Hat (voice of Martin Short), The Fish, Nick and Sally and Thing One and Thing Two. The classic and colorful animation immediately caught my children’s attention. What caught MY attention is that not only is this series entertaining but it is also educational. At the start of each new adventure, Nick and Sally ask a question that sends the entire cast on a natural science exploration. This DVD features five episodes plus bonus features and my children’s favorites included “Many Ants Make Light Work”, “Migration Vacation” and “Show Me the Honey”. When the show was over my children continued the fun by dancing around the living room re-enacting the adventures and my daughter was a joy to watch play acting as “The Fish”.

The DVD will be available for purchase in major retailers on 9/7/10 or can be purchased at NCircle Entertainment for a discounted price of $11.99. Don’t forget to check out the really neat and free learning activities, featuring “The Cat in the Hat Knows a lot About That!” online too. This is a DVD you can feel good about enjoying with your children.
