Secret Storage Books Review

I absolutely adore quirky, one of a kind pieces so, when I was given the chance to review an item from Secret Storage Books, I was stoked!

There is a lot about Secret Storage Books that really impressed me. I’m a huge fan of promoting Canadian companies and Secret Storage Books is located in British Columbia (yeah Canada!). I also really liked the fact that it is family business and I thought the story about how this family started making these units was really interesting. According to their website, after a family member was robbed, Brian and Heather Egan (who had a work working company at the time) decided to make “joke gifts” for their family members out of books. The idea grew and, by 1996, the Egans were working entirely with hollow books. Finally, I like the fact that the books are 100% recycled in the book boxes and as scrap paper. This combination of facts has already made me a fan!

I was lucky enough to receive an Office Wastebasket to review. My wastebasket is a bit smaller in size and has a lid on it. When I go tit I couldn’t wait to put it to use! I like the fact that mine does have a lid and I liked the fact that the interior of the basket is lined with some durable materials! The one I received is the perfect size to put on my desk or to sit on top of something else to give it a bit of extra height!

In addition to specialty items, like my basket, you can also buy storage books to hide your valuables! You can choose from books that are antiques, you can search by book size and you can even get non-English titles. You can even make special requests to get an item made just for you!

I absolutely love my new wastebasket from Secret Storage Books! It suits my interests, it is a great conversation piece and I love the fact it is made from recycled materials in Canada!
