Book Review | Outlive Your Life

Title: Outlive Your Life: You Were Made to Make A Difference

Author: Max Lucado

My Review:

I could not wait for this book to come in the mail because Max Lucado is one of my all time favorite authors and his latest book did not disappoint in the least. I read it from cover to cover practically in one sitting and enjoyed every second of it.

Many of Mr. Lucado’s books are encouraging, inspirational and meant to lift your spirit. This book does that as well, but it is more of a book to get you moving~ to make you realize that you have the potential to make a difference in the world you live in. He uses scriptures from the book of Acts to illustrate how the early church followed the “outlive your life” idea and how this effected the entire world.

At the end of every chapter you will find a closing prayer helping you to really think about what you just read and to make a conscious decision about applying it to your own life. There are also “questions for discussion” and “ideas for action” all of which would be great to use in small group settings or so you can get in a little more yourself.

If you are a Lucado fan you will not be disappointed and if you have never even heard of him give this book a try. I think you will be hooked. I highly recommend this one and have already told many of my friends that they need a copy too…
