Book Review | A Maze of Grace

Title: A Maze of Grace: A Memoir of Second Chances

Author: Trish Ryan

My Review:

This is a very personal account of Trish Ryan’s early years in marriage and the difficulties she and her spouse encountered along the way. The book is a follow-up to the first book Ms. Ryan wrote called He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not, in which she writes about the journey she took to find her “happy ending” in life.

Here’s one of my favorite quips in the book…

Prayer works. Love wins. Notice. Be grateful.

I am personally not married yet, but I will be in about 5 weeks {yikes!} and I certainly appreciated the honesty and the tough questions that were dealt with in this book. Although my story is not the same as the author’s, I know that basing a marriage on God and His ways are the way to go and she has written and made that abundantly clear.

You will find in this little gem of a book such topics as the heart break of infertility, depression, body image and sex. Bog issues tackled in a sometimes humorous, but always meaningful way.

Thanks to Trish Ryan {and her husband} for allowing us a peek into a marriage with the same issues and concerns we all have and for letting us know that it’s ok. God is in control. You’ll get through all the “stuff” and come out on the other side stronger, wiser and closer to each other than you ever thought possible…

*I received a copy of this book to review but I was not financially compensated in any way. The opinions expressed are my own and are based on my observations while reading this novel.*
