Lice Shield Review
The best way to treat lice is simply to avoid an infestation in the first place!
Thankfully, despite having three little children, I have not had to experience head lice. If Lice Shield Shampoo & Conditioner in 1 and Leave in Spray have anything to do with it, I won’t anytime soon either.
I was provided with a bottle of Lice Shield Shampoo & Conditioner in 1 and Lice Shield Leave In Spray detangling conditioner to review. I was drawn to the product initially because it contains a blend of natural essential oils, including citronella, eucalyptus and rosemary and states that it is free of harmful pesticides.
I received the product just before leaving for a family vacation, which included a mountain retreat with lots of children. I brought the Lice Shield products with me to use on my children. My kids have sensitive skin and therefore I am very selective about the products that I use. The Lice Shield had a strong, though not over-powering scent of essential oils. In fact, my husband who does not like many scented products, came over and sniffed the kids after their bath, asking what is that wonderful smell? The Lice Shield Leave in Spray detangling conditioner left my children’s hair easy to comb and glossy when dry with no scalp irritation.
As an added bonus, even though it is not noted by the manufacturer for this purpose, I can attest to the fact that my children were bothered much less by flying, biting insects at the camp after shampooing and conditioning with this product, most likely due to the essential oils. I will definitely use this for any future outdoor or camping events, not just for my kids but the whole family.
According to the manufacturer: Lice Shield is a line of hair care products developed to repel head lice while gently conditioning and cleansing hair. Lice Shield Shampoo and conditioner in 1 and Leave-In Spray have been scientifically proven to provide over 80% repellency. Gentle enough for everyday use on kids of all ages, Lice Shield uses a unique blend of natural oil extracts and contains no harsh chemicals that might irritate children’s sensitive skin. Both Lice Shield products can be found nationwide at grocery stores, CVS, Walgreens, Rite Aid and Wal-Mart.
