Title: Show Off: How to Do Absolutely Everything. One Step at a Time.

Author: Sarah Hines Stephens and Bethany Mann

My Review:

Show Off is a how to book that provides instruction for over two hundred activities under the headings Amaze, Investigate, Create, Explore, Cook and Move. The book is geared to 10-14 year olds, but also contained activities that were enjoyed by my six and seven year old children, and myself.

I was really impressed with the variety of topics covered in this book. From simple tasks like creating shadow puppets to more challenging activities such as photography effects, this book has something for everyone. My seven year old son was thrilled with some of the more mischievous activities like booby trapping the bathroom and my daughter’s interests focused more on crafts like marbleizing pretty paper. The book has inspired us to make our own popsicles, practice gymnast moves and sculpt with clay, and we have many more activities to try. Older children will enjoy learning extreme sport tricks and building go karts and robots. With something for future artists, athletes, nature lovers, chefs, actors and more this book is truly for everyone.

*I received a copy of this book to review but I was not financially compensated in any way. The opinions expressed are my own and are based on my observations while reading this novel.*
