Book Review | Of Lights in the Night

Title: Of Lights in the Night; Friends and Adventure (The Everlasting and Fantastical Adventures of Elannah and Sam)

Author: Sean Noonan

My Review:

This is the adventurous tale of two siblings who discover a new world between being awake and being asleep… not quite asleep yet, but not awake either. Elannah and Sam meet each other in their secret tree-house which is in a jungle, when they are dreaming.

In this adventure {one of many to come I am sure}, they ride their flying bikes to a place called the Great Northern Mountains where lives the Great Wizard Grumphspawn. Here is what he says to them:

I have a series of assorted sensations for you to enjoy this evening… We will start off with the Goblin Racer, Move on to the Highlanders Delight; the Jolly Jester; the King’s Coronation Ball… Pirates and Panckaes Piratical Pyrotechnics; and finally the Troll’s Totally Titanic Terribly Triumphant Toothy Tongue Tingler!

As you can see imagination rules in this delightful little book meant for young readers. I would say grade 4 and up. Included in the back of the book are pictures drawn by the real Elannah which she made while her Dad {the author} read the book aloud to her. Actually, I think reading this book out loud would be great. There are so many vivid images and tales that will mesmerize the kids a you read to them.

I think this book is just wonderful.

*I received a copy of this book to review but I was not financially compensated in any way. The opinions expressed are my own and are based on my observations while reading this novel.*
