Title: Beyond Seduction: Loving Without Limits

Author: Lisa Pankau

My Review:

I’ll be honest: When I started reading Beyond Seduction: Loving Without Limits, I was impatient, because I thought it was going to be a blueprint for a relationship with unbridled passion, complete with a to-do list.  It wasn’t. Once I opened my mind, though, and gave the book a chance, I realized that it, in fact, was a blueprint for an exciting, passionate, fulfilling relationship.  After all, it’s not just the sexual aspect of our relationship that makes it exciting and passionate, right?

If you read Beyond Seduction with the right attitude (which I quickly adjusted), you can’t lose.  After all, strong relationships require work and I’m not too proud to admit that I can use help in that area!  And, the suggestions that Lisa Pankau provides go beyond the stuff we already know, like communication and trust.  How about being vulnerable to your partner?  Or unconditional love (which does not mean tolerating bad behavior, by the way)?  Or forgiveness?  But Pankau also devotes attention to the sexual side of your relationship as well; touching, music, scents, lingerie, and so on.

I will warn you: Beyond Seduction is not “politically correct nor is it for everyone.  It does recommend that women have to be the wife, the mistress, the lover, the girlfriend, and anything else that he might find sexy, appealing, or desirable.  Pankau encourages women to keep their man happy and excited so that he won’t look elsewhere.  Now, there’s some sense of truth to that, but I don’t think it’s that simple; I mean, really.  A man isn’t cheating on his wife because she doesn’t wear lingerie and high heels, right.  But, Pankua’s message isn’t without merit.

I’m not saying that Beyond Seduction will save a relationship, but reading this book (and putting the suggestions into practice) will make a solid relationship flourish.  This isn’t brain surgery but most of us need a reminder that a relationship needs our attention to keep things fresh.  This book could be one of those reminders.

*I received a copy of this book to review but I was not financially compensated in any way. The opinions expressed are my own and are based on my observations while reading this novel.*
