Title: Momover: The New Mom’s Guide to Getting It Back Together (even if you never had it in the first place!)

Author: Dana Wood

If your like me you spent the first 6 weeks in your house in sweats and comfy cloths or a housecoat just because it was easier to get around, you still had a bit of the baby belly, and you had a newborn attached to your boob 24/7.  My husband would get up in the morning for work…lay with Sadie while I had a shower and got dressed and then head off to work for his 8 hrs while I entertained her til he got home.  Sometimes I would be covered in spit up, diaper contents, baby drool and ready for another shower at that point.  It was all worth it though.  Nobody ever tells you about that part.  I think the first time I dressed up after having Sadie was for my sisters wedding and Sadie would of been not quite 4 weeks.  Needless to say I don’t remember much about her wedding and I was in it…lol  Good thing she caught it all on video for me. I found this book funny and so realistic.  I always said I didn’t want to be a frumpy mom is a teddy bear sweatshirt and stirrup pants and for the most part I think I kept that promise to myself.  Some days I feel like being that mom but I think I do pretty good most of  the time.  The book is a guide to getting “you” back without over the top expectations.  I like it that it focuses on different aspects such as eating healthy and making time for yourself and when and when you should not DIY.  You will enjoy  this book a lot even if it  takes you a year to read it due to your busy life.
