Sun Sauce Review
Indoor tanning is so very bad for our skin! Still, I am the first to admit that I feel most attractive when my skin is a nice shade of brown. I’ve taken to wearing sunscreen daily, and I have tried several self-tanning lotions in the past. Most of these left me streaky and orange, and often they smelled less than pleasant.
Sun Sauce sent me a bottle of their Skin Firming Moisturizer with Touch of Sunless. Sun Sauce is the company that keeps people like the contestants on Dancing With the Stars bronzed, and their formulas are a product of 16 years of research by company founder, Dale Hansen. Their blend of fine ingredients include Monoi Oil and Kukui Nut Oil, vitamins and minerals, and a blend of other natural skin-enhancing oils.
One thing you might have picked up from my reviews is that I have sensitive skin and I hate feeling greasy, so I did not use lotion much. I have been using Sun Sauce Skin Firming Moisturizer with Touch of Sunless every day for several weeks, and I am pleased to report that my skin feels and looks great.
When I first apply the lotion, it is very visibly white, so it’s easy to see where I put it on my skin. It absorbs quickly with a few circular blending strokes, and the finish is divine. Rather than a heavy or greasy feel, my skin is left feeling almost powdery, and definitely smooth. It dries in a flash, so I don’t worry about staining my clothes. (Some sunless tanners require you to wait hours before getting dressed!) The color builds gradually over a couple of days, and it is very subtle and a deep enough color to look natural on my already medium, olive skin.
This product is great as a daily moisturizer, for anyone who wants only a hint of color, or both. I really want to try the original Sun Sauce Sunless Tanning Lotion or Bronzer to get an even deeper color. They also offer spray tan products, facial care, and body wash. The products are available at www.sunsauce.com.
