HINT Review

If you asked me what my favourite beverage was, I could easily tell you right away without a doubt that it’s water.  I am not one to drink pop or sugary drinks. Our body consists mostly of water so its important to keep ourselves hydrated. Water alone can get a little boring so its fun sometimes to add in a splash of flavour. I often add a slice of lemon or lime to my water and find it really refreshing. When I heard about HINT, an unsweetened essence water, I knew I just had to try it out!

HINT is water with a just a hint of natural flavour. It has zero calories and NO SUGAR OR ARTIFICIAL SWEETENERS! Much of the flavoured water I have tried in the past is just loaded with sugar so this is an exciting alternative! I just love their motto- Drink Water, Not Sugar. There’s sugar hidden in so many of our foods that we get on sugar overload unless you eat really carefully.

HINT comes in a bunch of yummy natural flavours like Blackberry, Pear, Strawberry-Kiwi and even Cucumber!! I had the chance to try four bottles of HINT in Watermelon, Raspberry-Lime, Pomegranate Tangerine and Mango-Grapefruit.  I was blown away by the refreshing taste of each! These are amazing!! They taste like water with a splash of fruity flavour that doesn’t overpower. It only enhances the goodness of the water. They are awesome cold although I also drank them at room temperature and still enjoyed them. My favourite one was the Watermelon flavour. It was delicious!

You can also enjoy HINT in some cocktails! I am not a big drinker, but will have a drink the odd time. I have a recipe here for Healthy Mama that I am excited to try once the nicer weather gets here. It has 1 part  vodka, 1 1/2 parts Watermelon HINT and 1 watermelon slice. Mmmmmm that would hit the spot on a hot summer’s day! Watermelon always reminds me of summer.

You can purchase HINT online and a case of 24 16 oz. bottles costs $44. They offer free ground shipping across the US. You can also visit their site to find a retailer near you. If I lived in the US, I would definitely want to buy more. I hope they can come to Canada soon!!
