Title: Waiting for Jack: Confessions of a Self-Help Junkie: How to Stop Waiting and Start Living Your Life

Author: Kristen Moeller

My Review:

I wasn’t sure what to expect with this book, but I knew just by the title it would be a good one. I have read a lot of self help books, all that have gotten me where I am today. This one will take what I have learned previously to a whole new level. By the end of the first chapter you will start to evaluate quite a bit in your life, especially about waiting.

At the end of each chapter gives you questions to answer yourself, at times you might not like the questions you are answering. Each chapter is filled with information that anyone who needs a bit of help or advice to get from point A to point B will be able to use. One thing this book talks about is having a support system in place to help you. When you go through a hard time, you need to have someone you can talk to, someone who might have a clearer head than you do.

By reading the book, going through each chapter, and by doing the exercises at the end of each chapter, you truly will start to see a change in your attitude. In each aspect of your life you will start to grow in a different direction. By the end of the book you no longer will want to wait, you will see patterns in your life that will help you to continue to move forward and not backwards.

The author did an excellent job in writing this book, not only from a writing perspective, but also from a self help junkie. This book will give it to you straight, make you look at YOU for the answers and stop waiting around for something. It will teach you that if you don’t know the answers, then you need to figure it out yourself. Your fairy godmother is not going to show up and wave her wand and change things! If you want something, and are the kind of person who procrastinates and waits for it to come to you, pick up this book.

*I received a copy of this book to review but I was not financially compensated in any way. The opinions expressed are my own and are based on my observations while reading this novel.*
